Beam Chopper

The chopper system is based on a two electrode design allowing to pulse the beam with frequencies varying from about 3 Hz to 1.0 kHz and with a duty cycle from 0% to 100%. The rise time and fall time is of the order of 100 ns and the maximum voltage applied in the electrode is 10 kV. The electronic system is based in off the shelf power supplies and switches.
